The Hypergrowth 2023 Awards: innovation at the heart of regional development

The second edition of the Hypergrowth Awards took place last night at the Anthéa Theatre in Antibes, in the presence of 400 regional innovation players.

This event, organized by Rise Partners, was developed this year in collaboration with the French Tech of the South Region: Aix-Marseille, Côte d'Azur, Grande Provence and Toulon.

The objective? To bring out regional innovation and reward local innovative startups.

This year, startups could present their projects in 3 categories to win the following trophies:

• CHANGE THE WORLD : company that has met its market and participates in a direct way to the improvement of the society thanks to its societal and/or environmental impact
• BOOST : promising company of less than 5 years with strong growth prospects and a turnover of less than 1M€.
• SCALE UP: hypergrowth company of more than 5 years with a turnover of more than 1M€ at the end of 2022.

To award these prizes, Rise Partners called upon experts and actors of innovation:

• Frédéric Guilleux - Director of the Technopôle de l'environnement de l'Arbois
• John Guinet - General Manager GROUPE RIVE NEUVE
• Olivier Bret - President Passeport Transition 06 and Mentor Rise Partners
• Yohan Aimard - Partner at Rise Partners and Director of the Human Capital Division
• Pierre Joubert - Managing Director, South Region Investment
• Jean de La Rochebrochard- Managing Partner Kima Ventures
• Juliette Montier - Analyst VC Bpifrance Dealflow
• Delphine Garcia - Partner at Rise Partners and Director of the Finance Division,
• Hervé Malaussena - Founding Partner Move Capital
• Radomir Jovanovic - CEO ADVANS Group
• Jonathan Laroussinie - President of Rise Partners

After 1 pre-selection made by each French Tech, the final jury had to decide between the finalists.

The nominees and winners of the 2023 Hypergrowth Awards are

For the Change The World Trophy, the nominees are:

• Heliowater, expert in marine technology
• Inalve, natural pet food solution
• Telaqua, remote irrigation management solution
• Pollustock, anti-pollution waste

The winner is : Stéphane Asikian, for his company Pollustock, specialized in the development, the manufacturing and the installation of anti-waste nets to clean up our rivers, seashores and oceans.

For the Scale up Trophy, the nominees are:

• Egerie, leader in cyber risk management and analysis
• Prozon, purchasing platform for construction professionals
• Travel Planet, innovative business travel agency
• VGD, intelligent plant lighting

The winners are: Jean Larroumets and Pierre Oger, founders of Egerie, a cybersecurity risk analysis and management solution.

For the Boost Trophy, the nominees are:

• Novetech Surgery, innovative orthopedic implants for veterinary surgery
• Tut Tut, collaborative and responsible delivery
• Holivia, management of employees' mental health
• Green Score Capital, a scientific solution for environmental assessment and decision making

The winner is: Vincent Chabbert, founder of the startup Tut Tut, the intelligence and model of Blablacar, the technology and immediacy of Uber for delivery and last mile.

A Rise Partners Coup de Coeur prize was also awarded to Rémi Pillot, founder of PESS ENERGY, a clean mobile energy provider based in Marseille, which has just completed a €500k financing round.

Congratulations to all these talented entrepreneurs, who are building the future of the region and proving the dynamism of our economic fabric.

Thanks also to all the members of the French Tech and final jury, for their time, participation and expertise.

The awards ceremony was followed by a networking cocktail party where all the players in this eco-system (investors, entrepreneurs, mentors, experts) met to discuss the challenges of innovation and regional economic development.
